Congratulations to the Prince and Princess of Monaco!!

2011 is the year of royal weddings!! First the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Catherine in April. Now, Prince Albert, son of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace Kelly, to Charlene Wittstock, a former South African competitive swimmer.

Isn't she beautiful?! She is wearing a silk Giorgio Armani gown with a nearly 16 foot train that screams simple elegance. A trend that isn't going away any time soon.  Embellished with 40,000 crystals and 20,000 beads made from Mother-of-Pearl, this gown took lots of hard work and great attention to detail that definitely paid off. She chose a beautiful silver jeweled headpiece instead of a tiara or jewelry. They were joined by 2 matrons of honor and 6 bridesmaid, and over 4,000 guests that included Karl Lagerfeld and Naomi Campbell at the traditional Catholic mass that was conducted in French, Afrikaans, and English.

For the reception, the bride as well as some of the guests changed into their evening attire for their lavish affair.  There was a huge fireworks display that included a giant bouquet of fire flowers and we can't forget the wedding cake.

I am seriously in cake heaven right now! This enormous (or ginormous-as I love to say) cake was made with over 100 pounds of strawberries and 2,000 edible flowers, including Proteas, the national flower of South Africa in honor of Princess Charlene. Do you think there were any leftovers? A girl can always dream right?

We want to wish Prince Albert and Princess Charlene a beautifully, blessed marriage!! Congratulations again Prince and Princess of Monaco.

1,000 Word Thursday ::: Boudoir Photo Shoot

1,000 Word Thursday is back!!! This week will not be about a particular photographer but a type of photography...Boudoir!

Boudoir Rouge Photo

Want to give your husband or wife-to be a sneak peek at what your wedding night will be like? We love boudoir photo shoots as an elegant way to show your fiance how much you can't wait to be married.  That's right grooms, this type of shoot is not just for the ladies! You can definitely take some boudoir photos and give them to your bride as a present before the wedding.

Pussycat Pinups

Ladies can do a pin-up style shoot or wear a jersey from their fiance's favorite sports team. Guys...think GQ! Don't forget to accessorize...pearls, boas, neckties, pillows, motorcycles. Whatever you choose, remember to get creative and have fun! A boudoir shoot can be as revealing as YOU choose as long as feel comfortable and confident. It will definitely show in the pictures.

Bad Kitty Photography

Remember brides and grooms, this is only for your husband or wife-to-be's eyes, so don't be shy and show them how happy you are to have found someone like them.

Let us know what you think or if you have a boudoir shoot planned!

Happy Planning!

Foodie Friday's: APPETIZERS!

Hey folks!

Appetizers are a must have for your next event!!! It's not often that we think about appetizers for our events, especially since we mainly think about the MEAL itself. Who doesn’t like food right? Great food can be a conversation starter for your guests. When I was a little girl, my favorite appetizer was the combination of Cheese- Ham- Olive stacked on a tooth pick.

Let’s talk appetizers!!!! Doll them up or serve them buffet style.

Still Unsure Why You Need a Wedding Planner?...

My friend's cousin held her wedding reception at a venue in Lynwood. She said the place wasn’t so lovely on the outside, but beautiful on the inside. I asked her to send me the contact info and let me know her thoughts after the wedding.

My friend said the venue was so unorganized that she would never recommend this venue to anyone.  Well my response was, “That's why you have a planner”.  A planner will crack the whip while you enjoy your wedding celebration. This is an INVESTMENT that you WANT to make. Some engaged couples and their families view having a planner as added expense rather than an investment in ensuring that their wedding goes as planned.

Who wants to be bothered with vendors when you are in the middle of a toast? Where's that photographer during the first dance? Why is the videographer at your parent's table instead of capturing the priceless memories? Your planner will have most of your thoughts already in mind so that you don’t have to worry about every vendor interruption or mishap, should they arise.

So go ahead and contact us, we don't bite but we will make sure that your wedding goes off without a hitch.

Happy Planning!
